Cost: $150.00 for entire session

Chris Corn is a former soloist and principle dancer with the Arabesque Concert Dance Company of San Francisco, starting her ballet studies as a young child. At the age of 14, Chris was one of three San Francisco dancers awarded a full ride, Summer Intensive Scholarship for multiple years through her development. Chris also attended Intensive Programs and Workshops at The San Francisco Ballet, San Francisco Dance Spectrum, The National Ballet of Canada and The Argentine National Ballet, as well as continuing her Classical Ballet studies at the University of San Francisco. performing in several productions including The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Giselle, The Awakening, Rite of Spring and The Miraculous Mandarin. Recently Chris had the honor of being a guest teacher at Pacific Ballet in Stockton.

The Masterclass Workshop will focus on the following key areas essential for the development of a well-rounded dancer:

  • Proper ballet technique
  • Correct body alignment
  • Musical interpretation for dance
  • Understanding the role or roles of the character or corp 
  • Translating the nuances of the character to dance
  • Learning to tell a story through dance alone
  • Action Items needed to perform effectively
  • Improve the dancers ability to retain choreography 
  • How to dance with a partner or in the corp
  • What to expect in a company class
